GOBA are committed to protecting your privacy and your personal data. The majority of our site can be viewed without
giving us any information on yourself. In some instances we do however, need personal information about you to provide
services that you request. The following policy explains how and why we collect information, and how that information will
be used.

Information Collection and Use
GOBA collects anonymous information on visitors from its web site log files. This information is for statistical purposes
only and includes information such as IP addresses, types of browsers used to access our site, referring/exit pages,
platform type, tracking of movements to analyse trends, and provide broad geographical and demographic information.
The information collected is not linked to any personally identifiable information.


Information Sharing
When you register as a member with us we ask for your name, address and contact details so that we can send you
information such as the GOBA magazine, certificates and stickers that are part of your membership entitlement. This is
also the legal basis on which we rely for processing your data. We may also use the information that we collect to notify
you about important changes to the site. You can update your own ‘Membership Profile’ at any time by logging in to the
Members section here. From here you can also request or decline receipt of email notification for various other
information that we think you will find interesting. Updating your details on-line helps us to reduce the manual
administration required by our volunteer committee. If you forget your login details you can retrieve them by entering your
email address to request them to be emailed to you.
GOBA will not share personally identifiable information with third parties except for in the instance of which we need to
send information to a bank following a request for setting up of subscription payment or query.


Deletion of your data
Membership data will be deleted 2 years after membership ceases unless earlier deletion is requested by a ceasing member.

privacy statement applies solely to the collection of information from www.goba.org.uk.

The website does use cookies at this time. This may be subject to change in the future. Notification of such a change will
be dealt with in accordance to the practice set out in the Changes to Policy section below.


Access to View, Edit & Delete Personally Identifiable Information
You may request to view, edit or delete any personally identifiable information that GOBA holds on you by logging in to
your ‘Membership Profile’ here. If you wish to have your information deleted then it will be necessary for you to resign your
membership as we will not be able to contact you without these details.


Changes to This Policy
GOBA may amend this policy from time to time. If we make substantial changes to the way we handle personally
identifiable information from this site, we will post an announcement on this website.
