Below is a message that GOBA has received from the Hemmingford Grey Parish Council
As I’m sure you are aware the Environment Agency withdrew supplying refuse bins along the Great River Ouse at the end of the 2021 season. Last year, Hemingford Grey Parish Council kept a refuse bin at our moorings while we tried to persuade the EA to part fund it. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to obtain this commitment from them and have therefore made the decision that we can no longer provide boaters refuse bins at the Hemingford Grey Parish Council moorings. I would appreciate it if you could let your members know in any forthcoming issues of your magazine, on your website, and through any other media that you use of our decision and ask them to kindly take their rubbish away with them.
